Visit the Men of Character websiteThe purpose of the program is to provide at risk young men with a place to interact and receive guidance and affirmation
from positive male role models.
We hold group discussions on topics from building character, to relationships with females, parents, and authority figures, to issues
of being a Latino male in the US and in Harrisonburg.
We strive to confront stereotypes imposed by the media or those imposed by the Latino community themselves and to
retain important aspects of Latino culture and appreciate values of North American culture.
Overarching goals of the programi include equipping youth with the tools they need to achieve their dreams and to instill into them
pillars of strong character, to strengthen their sense of responsibility, self-discipline, leadership, service and respect for themselves and others.
